| "Suspected" Child Molester Arrested After Knocking on Cop's Door. |
[Jun. 7th, 2008|01:46 pm] |
COWETA COUNTY, Ga. -- Coweta County officials have charged a suspected child molester they say went door to door in search of young victims. But when Eugene Murphy, 20, knocked on the door of an officer who investigates sex crimes, she made sure authorities knew what he was up to.
Authorities said Murphy had an intense desire to harm children. Murphy was knocking on doors wearing running shorts, a tank top and no shoes, according to officials. An off-duty officer told police she knew something wasn’t right and jumped into action.
Neighbors told Channel 2 they are angry after hearing Coweta County investigators say Murphy brazenly went door to door in search of a child to harm.
A homeowner said she thinks Murphy saw the basketball goal in her yard and came to her door and asked if any kids were home. She said Murphy told her his uncle was having a party and he was looking for children to invite. It was the suspect’s unlucky day because the homeowner happened to be an Atlanta police officer who investigates sex crimes and she thought his behavior was suspicious. She followed Murphy and called deputies.
“At that time the suspect made statements that were alarming to the deputies about his intent and why he was looking for these children,” said Lt. John Lewis with the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office.
Murphy was arrested and charged with criminal attempt to entice a child for indecent purposes. After further investigation, authorities said they found another victim and Murphy was charged with kidnapping and attempted child molestation.
Investigators said they continue to talk to potential victims. Murphy had a court appearance and was denied bond. |

From this article:
The Illinois senator won the final Democratic primary of the season in Montana Tuesday night, adding to the flow of superdelegates that put him over the 2,118 delegates it takes to become the nominee. Hillary Clinton won the South Dakota primary earlier.
Looks like Obama "stole" the Democratic Party Nomination since he won the delegate vote, but lost the popular vote.
Now I'll sit back and wait for the outrage. Yep. I'll even hold my breath. :)

| Obama rally has porta-potties placed on top of Portland Police Memorial. |
[May. 31st, 2008|12:51 am] |
| [ | Current Mood |
| | pissed off | ] | PORTLAND, OR – Police officers in Portland, Oregon, are still waiting for an apology from Barack Obama after campaign staffers of his recent rally in Portland, Oregon, setup porta potties directly on top of the Portland Police Memorial, which honors the agency’s 25 fallen police officers. The Obama rally drew a crowd of over 75,000 people. Officer Thomas Brennan, who was working overtime at the rally, took a picture of the offending toilets, with the American flag still at half mast because of Police Officers Memorial Day, directly behind them. The local law enforcement memorial service had been held at the site only five days earlier. Despite a large amount of open areas in the vicinity, the campaign staffers claimed the toilets were placed on the memorial for safety reasons to accommodate wheelchair access. The Obama campaign has not responded to requests for an apology.

Shame on ANYONE that votes for Obama. This is an outrage! This is public-accepted prejudice. |

| The dumbing down of a America |
[May. 30th, 2008|03:35 am] |
Every day I'm convinced we're a nation of idiots. For the most part, I blame the public education system. I was listening to the news going into work the other day, and they were talking about how a county's school system ranked among the lowest in the nation based on their end of year test scores.
Their plan for fixing this? A committee to "re-evaluate" the test.
The test isn't the problem, people. It's you. It's your structuring. It's your absurdly low pay for teachers. It's your stupid policies such as "zero tolerance". It's you taking away artistic classes that encourage indepmendant thought (because the government doesn't want to raise a generation of individuals- it wants to raise a generation of sheep that will do whatever the government says). And yes, it's your teachers. There are a happy few (like katie_did84) that grace your system with their skill of being wonderful teachers- but I hear from so many like her how you are wearing them down and, eventually, it seems like they are destined for a private school or another line of work because they are fed up with you.
The outcome of this committee, no doubt, will like so many before it. The children don't pass, so they lower the standard of passing. They dumb down the tests. More children pass and then next thing you know we have a C student in the White House.
And let's not forget the parents. Yes, I'm talking to all you parents out there whose children are failing and you don't understand why- and you let them spend more time on the Xbox than they do studying or even reading a book. You think the public education system is the end-all-be-all of your child's education. On top of that you take no interest in their school, their classes, or even their grades. It shames me to admit I had such parents. But luckily I took an interest in reading and other "nerdier" activities on my own. I was still a C student, but I like to think I've educated myself a good bit during and since my school days.
Which takes me to moment that was the catalyst for my rant. As I fart around the apartment I am watching re-runs of the game show Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader? on Hulu. I had never really watched it before, but I've heard people talk about how difficult the questions are.
I've watched about 2 episodes now. And while I'm not going kid myself and say all the questions were easy, I think it's very safe to say I am averaging about 8 right answers out of every 10. Sorry, guys, the questions are NOT that hard. What's even more painful is watching these contestants struggle with the answer.
Right now I'm watching the episode where a Firefighter plays and then a cop. The cop actually struggled with "True or False: The Sun is the only star in our solar system."
Thankfully he got it right, but he was obviously sweating it out. If I was his chief, I'd have called Fox to have them censor the department patch on his uniform.
If you've made it this far and your dying to know the answer to the question above. Go choke yourself. If you're not willing to do that much, then at least have yourself sterilized so you don't pass on the stupid gene. |

| Examining Obama |
[May. 7th, 2008|06:01 pm] |
Of course I'm not voting for Obama. I listen to Sean Hannity on the way home from work and often I think some of his arguments- as the ones in this video- are petty. The argument that he refuses to wear a flag pin. I mean, come on. Who cares? Refuses to place his hand over his heart during the National Anthem? Again, no big deal. Even the fact that his wife Michelle has never been proud of her country "in her adult life". I mean, hell, that's easy enough. As often as our politicians lie to us and the fact that our government takes almost a quarter of our paycheck. Why, in recent history, should anyone be proud?
However, the facts surrounding Rev. Wright should give a person pause, and the fact that he clearly supports Marxism and is racist should be enough to keep him out of office. Because if a Marxist, Racist, white person ran promising change, we'd all be terrified of what, exactly, this "change" is. Well, I am scared what Obama means when he says "change"- because I know it's not for the better.
If Obama's put into office, Rev. Wright will get his wish: America will indeed be damned.

I really wish he'd run for President. But realistically speaking, like Ron Paul, his ideas are too "common sense" for America to swallow. People want this country to be in debt. People want to 30-40% of their paycheck taken from them at gunpoint and used to keep another fatcat bureaucrat in office until they die of old age and I'm convinced people want to give up their freedom for more and more security. The American Dream is just that- a dream.
